Timothy Roberts - South Coast Chamber Music SocietyMr. Roberts has also played with many musical organizations including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston Ballet, Florida Orchestra, Opera Company of Boston, Rhode Island Philharmonic, Boston Academy of Music, Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra, New Hampshire Symphony, Portland Symphony, South Coast Chamber Music Society, Charles River Trio, Eos Ensemble and the Boston Classical Orchestra. He maintains a private studio in Needham and Hingham, and has performed solo recitals in Boston, Chicago, Florida, and the Washington, D.C. area. Broadcasts include WCVB TV Channel 5, WGBY Channel 44, WCRB, and live performances on “Classics in the Morning” “Morning Pro Musica” and “Classical Performances” on WGBH Radio in Boston. He is Founder and Artistic Director of the Art of Music Chamber Players, which began performances in the summer of 1997. There are now five separate concerts series in Boston, Brookline, and the “Concerts in the Country” at Wellesley and Duxbury and Canton. Mr. Roberts has performed in over 100 different programs. The Art of Music Chamber Players has also performed five times for WCRB’s “Classical at Copley”, and has given numerous performances for many years at the Gore Estate Summer concerts. The Players returned to both locations this summer. Last year he performed a cello recital at the Salle Cortot in Paris, and with AMCP members in St. Maarten in November of 2003. Mr. Roberts plays a Gabrielli cello, 1751, made in Florence.
